Dr. Courtney V. Harris, PT, CKTT was born and raised in Charleston, SC and currently resides in Winston-Salem, NC. She is a graduate of Temple University where she received her Doctorate of Physical Therapy in 2008.  She obtained her Bachelor of Science degree in Health Sciences from Florida A&M University in 2005.

After suffering a sports related injury that required physical therapy, Dr. Harris observed and experienced the important role a physical therapist plays in a person's life during their rehabilitation program.  She knew at a young age her passion was to work in the medical industry to help others.  With her own personal experience with physical therapists, she knew what her career path would be.

Dr. Harris is trained to utilize instrument assisted soft tissue mobilization (IASTM) technique. She is also a certified Kinesio Taping Technician (CKTT). She has aspirations for additional certifications, in the near future, that will benefit her clients.  As a competitive CrossFit athlete for nearly five years and her love for overall fitness, health and wellness, Dr. Harris' views broadened.  Her understanding of the importance of proper technique/form as well as the benefits of a good rehabilitation program and maintenance program for injury prevention has expanded.  Dr. Harris created Recovery-N-Motion believing that utilizing her certifications she can help athletes in the sports and fitness industries achieve optimal performance goals and also help others in the community to improve functional mobility.
